Banned. is a collection inspired by the people of my country, Iran. I'm an Assyrian Iranian minority who grew up in that country and saw the limits and suppressions firsthand. For decades since the revolution in 1979, the people, their creativity, culture, and imagination have all been suppressed and banished. In this project, I tried to portray this suppression while unveiling the rich culture and heritage of the people of my country. Banned. collection was nominated by my school to compete in the 2021 CFDA Design for Justice scholarship.
